Letterpress Broadside Poetry
I designed these poetry broadsides as part of a program at The Firecracker Press in Saint Louis, MO. Poets read poems aloud while an excerpt of their poem is being printed simultaneously. My role was to take an excerpt provided to me and arrange the words in a way that conveys some of the meaning in the verse. I created these broadsides using lead and wood type.
